About this project

The "Iwillwatchthat" project aims to build the next generation of movie recommender systems. Current systems often fail to meet the frequently changing desires of users since they are mainly based on the watch history of the user.
Our new system aims to take the mood of the user with it's unique set of emotions into consideration and to deliver a personalized film content.

The process

1.

Gathering the data

Based on the Quiz the necessary data is collected in a first step. The questions are mainly derived from psychological research and matched against the most popular movie genres.

2.

Building the data model

The received data will be fed into our data model. Our algorithms will train the model in order to receive the most accurate recommendation as possible.

3.

Evaluating the outcome

The results of the trained model and therefore the newly created recommender systems will be tested against existing systems in order to compare success rates.
